Old Town Suds began in 2011 out of the need to remove unneeded chemicals from everyday use. Steffanie, our Sudsologist, began experimenting with ways she could cut back on chemicals in her condo after a major health concern. One of the best recommendations from those around her was to be more cautious with the items she was using in her environment. Until that point, Steffanie never really considered how a bar of soap could be bad for someone or how certain products that were designed to “kill germs” could do more harm than good. So the adventure of researching and making her eventual products began.
First, it was a simple laundry detergent with one scent. Then, a few more scents made their appearance. Eventually, Steffanie developed several household cleaners that fit into her family’s everyday lifestyle. Many successful loads of laundry and cleanups later, Steffanie decided she needed to share the products she created and Old Town Suds was formed.
Now, you can find many new creations at Old Town Suds and the line is always evolving and mixing away! New products are in the works for 2013 that will surely impress even the toughest wrinkles and the stinkiest sheets.
